Build the list of things to ask the warehouse before you ship

Most avoidable losses happen between the QC photos and the sealed box, in requests nobody thought to make in writing.

Send these to the warehouse

4 requests. Each one is paired with the reason it matters, so the warehouse can judge a substitute rather than guessing.

  1. Write down the declared value you agreed, and keep the message where you agreed it.
The declared figure is what any later claim is measured against.
  2. Save the QC photo set to your own device before the storage window closes.
Warehouse photo links expire; a claim without the photos is a claim without evidence.
  3. Ask for 3 items to be quoted both merged and separate before you choose.
Above two items the volumetric weight of the combined box can exceed the sum of the parts.
  4. Ask for shoes to be sent without their original boxes unless you are keeping them.
Shoe boxes are the single largest source of avoidable volumetric weight.

These are requests, not entitlements. Whether a warehouse can act on one depends on the agent, so ask for written confirmation before the box is sealed. Nothing here concerns a declared value — that is a separate conversation with consequences.
